Digital Grassroots applies the principles of working open and leading open. Our distributed model of leadership allows us to create pathways for grassroots communities to interact with our work and create global networks through application of open internet principles. We work online and are a diverse team open to contributors who uphold values of an open, inclusive and healthy internet.

ROLE REQUIREMENT

Basic design skills for promotional content and documents

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Liaise with short-term contributors  e.g. bloggers, Youtube features
  • Post on social media page Facebook. Twitter. IG. Youtube
  • Write weekly posts and newsletters

Technical Support

 

ROLE REQUIREMENT

Good working knowledge of technical aspects for online learning

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Will upload course content to Moodle site
  • Will onboard participants to learning site
  • Will collaborate with communication with technical designs 
  • Will constantly monitor website functionality, security and advise on responses

Ambassadors Program Coordinator

 

ROLE REQUIREMENT

Excellent communication skills for building online communities

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Setting Program timelines and agenda
  • Coordinating program resources i.e. trainers, mentors
  • Course management including recruitments, onboarding, and certification
  • Program reporting and documentation
  • Point of Contact for Ambassadors engagement

Community Leaders Program Coordinator

ROLE REQUIREMENT

Active knowledge of global internet governance and ICT related events

 

ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Updating the events page on website
  • Identifying and organizing around events and dates in line with Internet Governance
  • Managing Digital Grassroots event records
  • Documenting and maintaining resources related to events
